LET THE CHILDREN SING
I've lost all faith, even in myself it somehow seems,
Night terrors overshadow what once were dreams,
Trying to persuade me to quit the fight and give in,
Reminding me of the sickened world we now live in,
The war to end all is on the verge I'm afraid to say,
It's our destiny, our fate for us to find another way,
We must seek atonement for all that we have done,
We cannot wait, for the battles have since begun,
Humanity and the loss of it, holds the most blame,
But I still find myself in the mirror filled with shame,
We must take notion from what the children teach us,
It is within their innocence we should put our trust,
I hear them sing beyond the rubble, in a heavenly voice,
Now we know that harmony is our only divine choice,
Angelic voices from a bombed basilica comforts me,
Let the children sing and give us hope from what may be…
